Die-Cut Cozy Mystery Books
Judith has been writing from the moment she learned how to put letters on paper. In grade school she wrote and directed plays, created comic books, and teamed up with her friend to write short stories. After 20+ years of other work, projects, and activities, she decided to add ‘author’ and began writing a cozy mystery series called The Die-cut Cozy Mysteries. There are currently four books published (The Crafty Elves of Christmas was published in 2025) and several more exciting stories in the works.
Major Event Planning and Execution
Judith and Jerry get a lot of enjoyment of planning and creating events, most of them for charity, but some to provide an outlet for all of the hobbies. Our latest event was the Haunted Mansion portion of the Edwards Center Fall-O-Ween 2025. Prior to that event was the Edwards Center Carnival 2025, the Edwards Center Jingle & Mingle 2024, and the Hillsboro Elks Lodge #1862 2024 Holiday Bazaar, where the proceeds went to help pay for activities of the Edwards Center residents.
And we must not forget the Kinton Grange 2025 Holiday Faire, where we had a booth.
Interesting tidbits of these events may be found by clicking the above links, and by pressing the Events link below.
Crafting with Judith
Follow Judith through her creative endeavors as she explores writing books, crafting, quilting, painting murals, jewelry making, teaching art/crafts to adults with developmental disabilities, and areas of volunteering. Life is to live, so get out there and try something you have no idea how to do, but want to learn.
3-D Printing
In early 2019, Jerry bought and built a Prusa i3 MK3 3D printer in kit form. Since that time, this printer has been run for hundreds of hours, creating items for including in Judith’s crafts and standalone projects for Jerry (like the puzzle boxes he sells at bazaars). What it is used the LEAST for is making items to repair things … which is why it was bought in the first place. Who knew?
Prusa is a highly recommended manufacturer of 3D printers. Certainly has Jerry’s vote.
